UFOs Add Touches To Big Productions:
The entire UFO troupe recently scored a huge hit with a live production of "Peter Pan" and "Alice In Wonderland". The show was produced for The Wichita Theatre in Wichita Falls, Texas by head UFO Ed Underwood.  Along with the show's director, sci-fi writer Joseph McNeely, Ed  and company left an unmistakable UFO fingerprint the event.

Within the show itself, several illusionary effects were designed to enhance the storytelling including; the vanish of Peter's shadow from Wendy's bed, a fire column, a blast of lightning, a floating medicine stick for the Indian chief, a bare handed production of streams of water (always a hit during a Texas summer!) and, of course, all that flying around above the stage. Fellow magician Ron Wilson played the part of the magical Indian chief and supervised the flying illusions from backstage.

Karen Underwood, the UFO's resident music maker, wrote the show's entire musical score and songs.  The music ranged from tribal flutes and drums to a dreamy pop ballad and a comic jig performed by the pirates.

UFO co-pilot Doug Salvi helped out as an assistant director and brought some valuable and rather hilarious ideas to the action.

The youngest members of the flight crew, Heather and Kevin Underwood, did a tour of duty, respectively, as the lighting director and a drumming Indian. Kevin also wowed the crowds at the pre-show dinners with his prowess as a juggler and comic.

The show ran the entire month of June and currently holds the Wichita Theatre record for best attended, highest grossing show to date!

The Theatre then asked Ed to bring the show back for another month in November while the team had already started pre-production on their imaginative rock opera adaptation of "Alice In Wonderland"!  "Alice" burst on the scene in early February and became an audience favorite. With even more trademark humor and lots more music than "Pan", the show's cast gave over a month of powerhouse performances.  The UFOs are proud to have been a part of such wonderful productions and wish to thank the audiences and the many talented lunatics who made it all happen!
